At present, many cities have made relevant regulations on the cleaning of curtain walls in the form of "government orders" (for example, Shanghai, clean at least twice a year), and most of the people responsible for cleaning are "spider men", who work at high altitudes. We can imagine the danger, but the danger is not only from the height of the floor, the curtain wall design and obstacles of different buildings also bring great difficulty and danger to cleaning.

一、Frame supporting glass curtain wall

Frame-supported glass curtain wall is a glass curtain wall supported by a metal frame around the glass panel, mainly including:
1、Clear frame glass curtain wall
The framed glass curtain wall is a glass curtain wall with metal frame components exposed on the outer surface. It is framed by aluminum alloy profiles with special sections, and the glass panels are fully embedded in the grooves of the profiles. Its characteristic is that the aluminum alloy profile itself has the dual functions of skeleton structure and fixed glass.
2、Hidden frame glass curtain wall
The metal frame of the hidden frame glass curtain wall is hidden on the back of the glass, and the metal frame cannot be seen outdoors. Hidden frame glass curtain wall can be divided into full hidden frame glass curtain wall and semi-hidden frame glass curtain wall. The structural features of the hidden frame glass curtain wall are: the glass is on the outside of the aluminum frame, and the glass and the aluminum frame are bonded with a silicone structural sealant. The load of the curtain wall is mainly carried by the sealant.


二、All glass curtain wall

The all-glass curtain wall is a glass curtain wall composed of glass ribs and glass panels. The glass panels of the all-glass curtain wall are generally larger in size and should be installed with mechanical suction cups. The all-glass façade allows for on-site injection of silicone structural sealants. The all-glass panel surface must not be in direct contact with other rigid materials. The gap between the board surface and the decoration surface or structural surface should not be less than 8mm, and should be sealed with sealant.


三、Point support glass curtain wall

Point-supported glass curtain wall is a glass curtain wall composed of glass panels, point support devices and supporting structures. The support structure includes glass rib support, single steel or steel pipe support, truss support and tension rod cable system support structure.

From the perspective of cleaning the curtain wall, the most convenient are the two types of full hidden frame and full glass curtain wall. The surfaces of these two types of curtain walls do not have any obstacles to affect the cleaning operation.
